Couples

Therapy at Mindwise uses an evidenced-based therapeutic approach called Emotion Focused Therapy for Couples (EFT-C) to tackle interpersonal problems. This approach gets to the “heart of the matter” quickly by identifying the emotional and relational processes that are causing distress.

The aim of therapy is to identify negative interactional cycles that keep couples stuck and to help them transform these cycles by accessing adaptive emotion.

EFT-C allows couples to access adaptive emotions that help them form healthier relationships and to become better at self and other regulation.

Couple difficulties can include:

  • Anger & Conflict
  • Infidelity
  • Empty Nesting and retirement
  • Dual-Culture issues
  • Sexual difficulties
